WWE Star Shad Gaspard Missing Since Going For A Swim With Son Days After Saying He Was Blessed

Shad Gaspard, once a WWE wrestler, was always a proud father. So much so that when he and his son got caught up in a wave at Marina Del Ray Beach in Venice, California, he made an emotional plea to the lifeguards to save his son. This comes just a week after the wrestler shared how much he loved life during a walk on the beach with his family.
Shad recently posted on Instagram about how grateful he is for life. The caption on the Instagram post says “Love the life I built for my self and my family.” It features several pictures of his son along with a video of Shad walking on the beach.
Shad Gaspard’s Son Was Saved From The Riptide
Shad and his son were enjoying a day at the beach along with his wife Siliana when things went South. A group of swimmers got caught in a strong current and Shad and the 10-year-old boy were a part of that group. When lifeguards rushed to the water, Shad directed them to save his son first. They were successful in saving his son, but by then, Shad was swept away by the waves. One Twitter user wrote “Shad Gaspard chose his son’s life over his own. We should all strive to possess courage like that.”

He was declared missing and the US coastguard conducted a search for him. Authorities say he was “submerged.” Siliana posted on Instagram that people should contact her directly if anyone happens to see Shad.
Videos on Twitter showed search efforts in Venice but there has yet to be any sight of him. The search for Shad has recently been suspended after divers and helicopters failed to locate him.
Shad Recently Celebrated His Sons 10th Birthday
The story gets even more heartbreaking because Shad just saw his son turn 10 on April 22. He posted an Instagram photoset with the caption “Happy Birthday to my Prince that will one day crowned himself as King. His birth changed my life for the better.” It features pictures from his son’s birth and how much he has grown over the years. It shows how great of a bond the two had.
The pair were also always posting together on TikTok and loved to make each other laugh. This kind of father-son bond was something that he was known for by his fans. They watched his son grow up to be just like him.
Shad Stopped An Armed Robber Years Ago With His Wrestling Skills
In 2016, Shad was at a gas station in Coral Springs, Florida when he noticed an intoxicated man who intended to approach the clerk with a gun. Shad quickly took action to prevent this robbery from happening and body slammed the man onto the floor. He removed the gun from the man’s hand and held him down until the police arrived. Shad said that during the incident “I just kept thinking about how I wanted to make sure I got home to my son.”
There is no denying that Shad Gaspard is a standup man and a great caring father to his son.
