Carter Rubin won The Voice under Team Gwen on season 19 at just 14 years old. His Blind Audition performance of Lewis Capaldi’s “Before You Go” turned the chairs of both Stefani and John Legend. Overnight, Carter’s performance went viral, making him an instant front-runner in the competition.

His original song “Up From Here,” which he performed at The Voice finale, gained over 40,000 listens on Spotify. Since the show, the young singer has been active in his career and recently sang the National Anthem at City Field.

What’s Carter Rubin Doing Now?

Since appearing on The Voice, Carter has released two original singles. “Up From Here” and “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” with Stefani. Even Blake Shelton gave Carter a shoutout during a radio interview. The coach stated that Carter has the potential for a massive career beyond The Voice, and I can agree. Shelton also revealed that Carter already connected with Stefani’s management team.

Today, Carter covers a variety of hit songs on social media. Some of his most popular renditions come from Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour album. With over 67,000 followers on Instagram and 12.7 million followers on Tiktok, the young singer continues to grow his fanbase. The Singer on The Voice

Before appearing on The Voice, the Shoreham, New York resident received inspiration from his grandfather, a guitarist and backup vocalist for Jay and the Americans. Carter also loved to sing and play music with his older brother Jack, who has autism. The siblings would sing together at their family’s autism foundation, which surprises families with trips to amusement parks. Additionally, the singer would perform at various school musicals and community events.

On season 19, Carter took The Voice stage at the age of 14. He has the distinction of being the youngest male winner and second youngest winner overall. Carter is also responsible for Team Gwen’s first win on the series. After the Blind Audition, Carter fought vigorously throughout the competition.
