American Idol is pulling out all the stops for next week’s finale. Before crowning the winner of Season 19, some of music’s biggest superstars will perform. This includes some familiar faces for talent show fans. The three-hour event will showcase the best of the best and give us all the taste of live music we’ve been craving.

‘American Idol’ Announces Star-Studded Lineup of Performers for Finale Night

American Idol is nothing without its celebrity judging panel of Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie. All three judges will be performing at the finale even though Bryan just performed his single “Waves” during the Top 4 episode. Perry just dropped her song “Electric” in collaboration with Pokemon’s 25th anniversary and we might be seeing it performed live on American Idol.

A few talent show alums will be performing as well. Mickey Guyton who competed on Season 7 of American Idol will take the stage. She recently hosted the Academy of Country Music Awards with Keith Urban. Leona Lewis who won the third season of The X Factor is also joining the finale. We saw her perform with Kodi Lee on Season 14 of America’s Got Talent in 2019.

What would the American Idol finale night be without a legendary talent show contestant? Chaka Khan is set to perform after her run as Miss Monster on the third season of The Masked Singer.

American Idol is making sure to feature performers from all genres. Get ready to rock because Fall Out Boy is coming to American Idol. And for all the rap lovers out there, Macklemore will take the stage as well. Alessia Cara will also mesmerize viewers with her stunning voice.

More Performances to Look Forward to on Finale Night

In a more shocking turn of events, Lindsey Buckingham who was fired from Fleetwood Mac in 2018 will be performing at the finale. He underwent emergency open-heart surgery in 2019 and has been slowly getting back into the music scene since then.

CMA’s Male Vocalist of the Year for 2020, Luke Combs, will also hit the stage to perform! Sheryl Crow will grace the American Idol stage too after announcing she will be performing with Chris Stapleton at Summerfest in September.

Each year, contestants team up with celebrities for their finale performances. Expect the final three contestants Chayce Beckham, Grace Kinstler, and Willie Spence to be paired up with some of the above-mentioned celebrities for incredible collaborations.

While a performance with contestants who were eliminated from this season has not officially been announced, Graham DeFranco did tease that he will be traveling this week. He wants fans to look out for him this coming Sunday during the finale, which could mean either a finale performance or another stop on his nationwide tour.
