Wendy Williams has once again addressed the family drama surrounding her mother, Shirley Williams’ funeral back in December. Her brother Tommy Williams first posted a video claiming Wendy never attended the funeral. Wendy has spoken out about this on The Wendy Williams Show twice, with the second time getting even more heated.

Wendy Williams Alleges Brother Got Into Fight At Mother’s Funeral

Wendy spoke on The Wendy Williams Show claiming that she did attend the funeral. “Tommy, you know I was at mommy’s service and you know she looked beautiful in her casket,” the 56-year-old said. “And you know that you fist fought a loving member of our family half your age.” Wendy clarified that the person Tommy fought was not her son, Kevin Hunter Jr. whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Hunter.

Wendy alleges that Tommy started a fight right over the open casket. She then said that the men of the funeral home had to stand in front of the casket and block it so her mother’s body would not fall out. “You should know better at 53,” she said.

This came after Tommy posted a YouTube video responding to Wendy initially calling him out on her show. “Why didn’t you go to the funeral? Why couldn’t you call daddy and let him know why?” Tommy asked in the video. “You told daddy that you had to race back to New York, handle business. You told daddy that you were only going to be in town for the viewing. Your father didn’t even know that you were in town for the funeral and you’re out eating lunch with your ex and your son which wouldn’t be a problem if you told your father that. He’s hurt, Wendy.”

Wendy said that her ex husband was the one that broke up the fight at the funeral home. Afterwards she went out to eat with him and their son instead of joining the rest of the family at her sisters house.

Wendy And Tommy Have Had A Rocky Relationship Since Their Mother’s Death

Back in December after her mothers death, Wendy did not record any new episodes of The Wendy Williams Show. “Next week, The Wendy Williams Show will air repeats to allow Wendy to travel and be with her family at this time,” a spokesperson said at the time.

“My mom passed away many, many, many, many weeks ago,” Wendy said on the show. “You know how you lose track of the day and time? All I know was it was a long time ago. The five of us, my mom, dad, my siblings, the five of us — she will always be here.” The former ‘Masked Singer’ contestant added that she “passed away beautifully and peacefully, and surrounded by love.”

After this episode aired on television, Tommy alleged that Wendy distorted the timeline of their mother’s death and it was more recent than she let on. “Now maybe some of you can see what Wendy’s been going through. It’s mental health.” Tommy said in another video.

Wendy previously demonstrated strange on-air behavior, jumbling her words and losing her train of thought on The Wendy Williams Show. She insisted that she is fine and the long hours rehearsing for The Masked Singer were to blame and that everyone has off days.
