Usher Thinks THIS Team Blake Country Singer May Win ‘The Voice’ 2020

Usher returned to The Voice as the mega mentor during the Knockouts. While there were so many artists that impressed the Grammy winner, there was definitely one country artist on Team Blake that he thought could win the entire competition.
Which Artist Does Usher Think Will Win ‘The Voice’ 2020?
Usher was so impressed while mentoring Team Blake artist Ian Flanigan that he predicted he might win the show. Ian has a super deep and rich voice that makes it hard for the coaches to find any musical comparisons for him. He is simply very unique and unlike anyone else in the competition. It was no surprise when he had one of the most memorable Blind Auditions and landed a spot on Blake’s team.
Ian went up against James Pyle in the Knockouts who Blake stole from John Legend’s team during the Battles. Ian sang “Beautiful Crazy” in the Knockouts a song that reminded him of his own relationship and his past struggles with alcohol. “Ian has something really special with the raspiness and the raw nature of what he offers,” Usher said after hearing him sing during the practice. He advised him to stretch out the song lyrics a little more but other than that it was pretty much perfect. “Ian, I think that’s one of Blake’s top guns” Usher continued. “He has the potential to go all the way.”

After his performance, John said that what makes Ian so special is that he actually has a range which not many singers with the gravely voice have. Kelly Clarkson complimented the sincerity in Ian’s voice. “Ian there’s nobody else like you, I’m like ‘there’s got to be somebody that sounds like you’ and there’s not,” Blake said. He jokingly asked him if he drinks boiling water to get his voice to sound like that. Blake pretty much just said what we were all thinking.
Can Ian Beat Out The Other Country Artists In The Competition?
Ian is definitely one of the standouts on this season of The Voice. He is up against some other country artists that have all proven why they deserve to win the show. Ben Allen who was stolen by Gwen Stefani is more of an old-school country artist that Blake really loved during the Blind Auditions. And over on John’s team, Bailey Rae has shown time and time again that she knows how to command the stage.
