Kelly Clarkson, Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton and John Legend set out to fill their teams with artists during the Blind Auditions. One thing became clear from the very beginning; Kelly, Blake and Gwen are fighting hard this year to beat Blake. John went as far as making a PSA against Blake. Kelly made sure to tell each artist considering Blake’s team that he is a “liar.”

Tamara Jade

Tamara Jade was full of personality during her audition taking on Lizzo’s “Cuz I Love You.” She shared her story about how her grandmother came to America from Jamaica looking for a better life for her family. She previously performed at the VMA’s with Lizzo but the pandemic has slowed some of her performing plans. Kelly and John turned their chairs immediately once they heard her vocals. Gwen and Blake followed soon after making this a four-chair turn. All four coaches praised her vocals and her personality. It was a hard choice, but she ultimately chose to be on Team Legend.
