Simon Cowell Says He’s Just Like Heidi Klum This Year on ‘America’s Got Talent’

Ever since having a son, Simon Cowell has become a big softie on America’s Got Talent. He left the door wide open for another judge to take over his reign of harsh comments. This season, Howie Mandel has definitely taken his place as the mean judge. Cowell just compared himself to Heidi Klum after giving out nice critiques to a bunch of awesome acts.
Is Simon Cowell the New Heidi Klum on ‘America’s Got Talent’?
It was after comedian Cam Bertrand’s act that Cowell made the comment that he liked him from the second he stepped out onto the stage. Cam’s personality is very inviting. His routine was absolutely hilarious and made all of the judges laugh like hyenas. Cowell even got to show off his pearly white veneers from smiling so much.
“I’m like Heidi this year, I don’t know what’s happening to me,” Cowell said.
Typically Klum gives out nicer critiques than the other judges to acts each season. Cowell is also following in her footsteps now. It’s a huge contrast from the rude comments that Cowell once made in his early days on television. When it comes to comedy acts, Klum is usually a bit more critical and only finds certain things funny. All of the judges enjoyed Cam’s act and Sofia Vergara even commented that she knows an act is funny when Klum laughs.
This side of Cowell is really astonishing to see. Cowell missed out on the live shows on America’s Got Talent last year due to his electric bike accident. The other judges definitely held down the fort while he was away but nobody ever compares to the king of talent shows. It really does feel like this is the new and improved version of Cowell. Will this same positive energy carry on into the live shows? We sure hope so!
