Scottish Firefighter Will Give You Chills With His Blind Audition On ‘The Voice UK’ [VIDEO]

Stevie McCrorie sang Kodaline’s “All I Want” during his 2015 audition for The Voice UK. The Scottish firefighter had his big break after years of focusing on his career. Check out his Blind Audition that had all of the coaches falling in love with his smooth rocker vibes and voice.

Stevie McCrorie Had Incredible Blind Audition On ‘The Voice UK’

Rita Ora was the first to hit her button and turn her chair. Towards the end of the performance, Tom Jones turned his chair. During the final note of the song, Ricky Wilson and will.i.am slammed their buttons and turned their chairs to make this one epic four-chair turn. Rita was visibly in love with Stevie and jokingly fell out of her chair after the performance. Stevie actually didn’t realize that he had gotten a four-chair turn until the judges explained it to him.

Ricky praised the power of emotion in Stevie’s voice. Ultimately Stevie chose to be on Ricky’s team. In the Battle Rounds, Stevie went up against Tim Arnold singing “Demons.” He was declared the winner of the Battle and moved on to the next round of the competition. His performance of “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” in the Knockouts which sent him to the Live Shows.

Week after week Stevie continued to top his performances, each one getting better than the next. He performed a duet of “Get Back” with his coach during the Live Final. Stevie was declared the winner of the fourth season of The Voice UK after dominating the competition.

Where Is Stevie Now?

After covering the song “Lost Stars” on The Voice UK, the song was released as Stevie’s debut single. It topped the Scottish Singles Chart and was sixth on the UK Singles Chart. He later released his album called Big World and came back to perform one of the songs from the album on The Voice UK.


In 2016, Stevie returned to his job as a firefighter after parting ways with Decca Records. He referred to himself as an independent artist after that point. “I know how hard the industry is and how much amazing talent there is out there to compete with,” he said after returning to his regular job. “Ideally, I’d like to have the opportunity to go back if they’d allow me. It would just be a security blanket kind of thing.”

Though being a firefighter pays his bills, Stevie does still post covers and original songs on Instagram which shows he will always have a love for music. He has released music here and there on his own and will be remembered as one of the best singers The Voice UK has ever seen.
