A new queen has been inducted into the Drag Race Hall of Fame! After going up against the best of the best, RuPaul crowned Kylie Sonique Love as the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 6. Kylie is the first transgender winner in the show’s herstory. The finale episode was full of incredible performances from four queens who are the definition of talent.

Kylie was the real star of the “This Is Our Country” performance during this episode. The Top 4 really brought the country queen energy. They had to write their own lyrics and pick up choreography by Jamal Sims. Their finale performance also featured vocals by Tanya Tucker. It was the icing on top of an epic season.

Kylie Sonique Love Wins ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars’ Season 6

Eureka O’Hara’s lyrics were inspired by powerful female queens from history and they did not want to perform something that was expected. Kylie embraced things that she once was ashamed of like the twang in her voice. She shared a message about loving who she is and how she no longer puts pressure on herself to be perfect. Ra’Jah O’Hara wrote a powerful rap about being black in America.

Ginger Minj is an expert at writing good lyrics. RuPaul even called Ginger “one of the biggest stars to ever come out of this competition.” She is right. Ginger has found global fame, starred in television shows, and is known as a comedy queen. She had the first half of the season in the bag but got outshined. Kylie was really able to surprise everyone, especially with this performance.

The music video started off with sexy shirtless men who danced the house down. Eureka had a glamorous costume reveal. Ginger’s vocals were actually amazing. Kylie nailed her bandana trick and Ra’Jah slayed her rap. The All Star Eleganza runway really allowed each of the queens to shine in their best drag looks. Kylie’s red, white, and blue look was a crowd-pleaser.

Ginger looked gorgeous in a geometric silhouette. Eureka delivered their best look all season. Ra’Jah wore her signature purple color and showed off her famous legs. This was not going to be an easy decision for anyone to make. Everyone put up such a good fight.

Kylie Stumbled in the Lip-Sync and Recovered Like a Champion

In order to help make her decision, RuPaul decided she wanted to see everyone lip-sync one last time. The Top 4 took the stage one at a time to perform “Stupid Love” Lady Gaga. Ra’Jah and Kylie were the two that really stuck out during this lip-sync. Ginger and Eureka were great but we have seen it all before.

Kylie pulled off her green cape to reveal a shiny outfit. The cape fell right in her path. She slipped on the cape which viewers got to see in slow motion. RuPaul’s jaw was on the floor. Before you could blink, she did a front roll to distract from her slip-up. It was in that moment that I knew she was going to win the show. Any other time we have seen queens fall in the past, it has turned into a total disaster.

Kylie is a professional on stage. Nobody expected her to be a comedy queen, dancer, singer, and have a strong personality this season. Her time was cut so short on Season 2 that we never really got the chance to get to know her. Finally, she was able to come back and snatch the crown while simultaneously making the entire franchise fall in love with her.
