Man Rides Zipline With His TEETH In ‘AGT’ Semifinals Performance

AGT returned for its second week of semifinals on Tuesday night, as eleven acts competed for a spot in the finals. The performers definitely took the judges’ advice to step up their game for this round of the competition.


One of the most epic performances of the night came from danger performer Jonathan Goodwin. If you were wondering how he could make things any crazier than lighting himself on fire, you’ll want to watch his latest performance.

WAFFLE Crew

This dance crew from New York earned Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer in the auditions. Tonight, they performed a dynamic routine on an indoor and outdoor set at Universal Studios Hollywood. Howie Mandel said they stepped it up and used their environment well. Sofia Vergara said she hopes people vote for them.

Kenadi Dodds

This young singer performed outdoors on her piano, singing “Be a Light” by Thomas Rhett. Howie told her it was a step up, and praised her for singing an existing song but making it her own. Sofia said the song was “the perfect sentiment,” and said she sounded like “a confident pop star.”

Max Major

This magician shared that he battled a five-year chronic illness before auditioning for AGT. Tonight, he asked Heidi Klum to help him with a trick in which he predicted the numbers on a lottery ticket. Sofia and Howie said it was confusing, and Howie said Max talked too much. However, Heidi said she thought it was easy to understand.

Bello Sisters

This balancing act reminded viewers how much strength it takes for them to perform their routine. Tonight, they showed off some incredible, seemingly impossible moves. The judges gave them a standing ovation. Heidi said they create “human sculptures.” Howie said he was “beyond impressed.”

Celina

For the semifinals, this singer performed “Jealous” by Labrinth. Howie wondered if it was worthy of moving on to the finals, especially compared to how many other singers are in the competition. Sofia said she believes it was enough, saying it seemed like Celina was performing at an award show.

Jonathan Goodwin

Before his performance, this daredevil shared that he’s afraid of heights, and decided to face his fears for the semifinals. He rode a flaming zipline holding on with his teeth while his hands were tied behind his back. Sofia said it was her favorite of all his stunts. Heidi said she loves that he always does something different.

Cristina Rae

This singer and single mom earned Heidi Klum’s Golden Buzzer in the auditions. Tonight, she performed “Jump” by Cynthia Erivo. Heidi said she’s crossing her fingers and toes that Cristina will make it to the finals. Howie said she’s “the one to beat” in the singing category.

Bad Salsa

This young dance duo performed from India, showing off some amazing acrobatic moves. Sofia said it’s “beyond ballroom dancing,” pointing out how dangerous it is. Howie said it was worthy of a place in the finals.

Voices Of Our City Choir

This inspiring choir earned Terry Crews’ Golden Buzzer in the auditions. Tonight, they performed “Heroes” by Peter Gabriel. Howie said their message means more now than ever before. Heidi acknowledged current “heroes” like doctors and firefighters who are getting us through this difficult time.

Brett Loudermilk

Howie helped Brett with his performance this week, while wearing a mask and a face shield. This week, Brett put a camera down his throat to show what he swallowed. Sofia called it “the most unnecessary thing.” Howie said he wasn’t a fan, but Heidi said she “kind of loved it.”

Daneliya Tuleshova

This young singer from Kazakhstan performed “Who You Are” by Jessie J. Sofia said she’s “shining like a star.” Heidi said it’s going to be hard for America to choose between the talented young singers. Howie said he felt like he was at her concert, adding that she’s “already a winner.”
