Maddie Poppe, Caleb Lee Hutchinson Perform Casual Concert At Shane Dawson’s House

American Idol Season 16 winner Maddie Poppe hung out with Shane Dawson and his fiancé Ryland Adams this week. Her boyfriend Caleb Lee Hutchinson also visited the YouTuber couple at their home. Both Maddie and Caleb performed songs and documented the experience on Instagram.

In one Instagram story that Shane posted of Maddie singing, he called it the “best day I’ve had in a long time.” He just celebrated his 33rd birthday on July 19. Shane stepped away from YouTube last year after inappropriate jokes and clips portraying racial stereotypes surfaced on social media. Ryland has continued to upload videos to his own channel including a recent video about moving to Colorado.
Ryland was seen grabbing the camera while Maddie sang, indicating that her full performance will be featured in an upcoming YouTube video. Caleb chimed in to do background vocals during Maddie’s rendition of Radiohead’s “High and Dry.” Caleb also performed some music on the guitar. Shane muted the audio in Caleb’s video because he’s “singing something special for Ryland’s video.”
They all posed for a selfie together that was later posted on Maddie’s Instagram account. The comments section is flooded with some of her fans questioning the hangout. In another Instagram Story, Maddie called the experience “one of the best days I’ve had in years.”
Both Maddie and Caleb are getting back into the swing of things as more music venues open up. Maddie is set to perform a show in Iowa on August 14. Caleb opened up for The Cadillac Three last weekend. He also announced that his EP Slot Machine Syndrome will be out on September 17.
Maddie has been a supportive girlfriend but also poked fun at Caleb in a recent Instagram Story. She joked that she was bringing her kid to work when in actuality, Caleb joined her at the studio. It looks like Maddie is definitely up to something when it comes to recording new music.
The couple have been dating since their American Idol days in 2018. They have continued to share glimpses into their relationship on social media over the years. Even though they are both back to being busy, they still manage to prove that their relationship has withstood the test of time.
