LeAnn Rimes Returns to ‘The Masked Singer’ as Guest Judge After Winning the Show

LeAnn Rimes is joining The Masked Singer judging panel for the Season 5 finale. She won last season in 2020 as The Sun after captivating the judges from her very first performance. Now, using her experience competing on the show, Rimes hopes to help the judges guess which celebrities are underneath the masks.
LeAnn Rimes has Kept Busy Since Winning ‘The Masked Singer’
Rimes used her platform from The Masked Singer to promote her song “Throw My Arms Around the World.” She continued recording her iHeartRadio podcast, Wholly Human, up until mid-February. Season 2 of the podcast is currently underway. Aloe Blacc, The Mushroom from Season 4 of The Masked Singer joined her on the podcast to talk about their experiences behind the masks. The two even collaborated on a song together.
In January, Rimes teased that she was shooting the cover art for her upcoming album. Following this announcement, the 38-year-old made a cameo on the Netflix show Country Comfort. She also performed at A Grammy Salute To The Sounds Of Change on March 17 to honor Loretta Lynn.
Rimes already had a huge resume full of lifetime achievements before The Masked Singer. The country star made history in 1997 as the youngest person ever to win a Grammy at 14 years old. Rimes performed “How Do I Live” at MPTF’s “Night Before” Oscars Party this year. She also has a lifestyle blog and store called Soul Of EverLe and just celebrated her 10-year anniversary with her husband Eddie Cibrian.
Rimes was also just announced as one of the performers that will be taking the stage at MerleFest 2021 on the campus of Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, North Carolina.
What to Expect From the Upcoming Season 5 Finale
Rimes is such a seasoned artist that she has pretty much collaborated with everyone on the music scene. Even though the judges already correctly guessed all of the Final 3 contestants’ identities at some point during the season, it will still be fun to hear Rimes’ guesses.
The Piglet, The Black Swan, and The Chameleon all remain in the competition. In the preview, it looks like Rimes will be singing something up on stage. It is not clear if this will be a part of her entrance as she makes her way over to the judging panel or full performance.
One thing we do know is that this season’s winner of The Masked Singer has been harder to predict than ever before. Rimes was an obvious frontrunner during her season, but the playing field is leveled during this season. It really is anybody’s game although our eyes are on The Black Swan who has a huge fanbase rooting for her over on YouTube.
