Ken Jeong is Still Embarrassed For Not Guessing This Reveal on ‘The Masked Singer’

Ken Jeong has made the most bizarre and embarrassing guesses on The Masked Singer to date. There have only been a few times that he actually correctly guessed which celebrities were underneath the masks. He confessed on The Kelly Clarkson Show that not guessing Poodle’s identity back in Season 1 still haunts him.
Jeong said that Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke both have that “perfect ear” where they can recognize voices on The Masked Singer. He also admitted that he does not have that same ability. That may be the reason for all of his wild guesses including his most popular, Björk.

“I’d say my favorite reveal was in the first season where it was The Poodle being Margaret Cho, one of my best friends in the whole wide world,” Jeong said.
Clarkson laughed at the fact that Jeong did not recognize his best friend on The Masked Singer. This is so similar to the time Blake Shelton did not recognize his former bandmate Pete Mroz on The Voice. Clarkson won’t let Shelton live that down and definitely will not let Jeong live this down.
“I remember that moment and the look on my face was pure embarrassment because I know I would not be able to live that down for the rest of my life,” he said. “And I haven’t because she even said on the show and off the air ‘out of all people I would have imagined it would be you guessing it.’ She had all of these clues. She’s from San Francisco. She did standup comedy and I’m just like ‘I don’t know,’ and I was such an idiot. To me, to this day I’m still embarrassed.”
Jeong and Cho have been friends for over 20 years. He wrote a part on his sitcom Dr. Ken specifically for her. She played his sister on the show. His final guess was that Melissa Rivers was under the Poodle mask. Luckily for Jeong, Season 6 can finally be a chance for him to bring home The Masked Singer Golden Ear Trophy. We’re just hoping he comes up with some new guesses other than Björk.
Season 6 of The Masked Singer is airing the first part of the two-night premiere tonight. Kelly Clarkson knows two huge fans of the show that will be tuning in. She shared that her mother and sister “never missed an episode” of The Masked Singer. Her sister might even be a strong contender for a guest judge on a future season of the show.
“By the way, my sister guesses all of them,” Clarkson said. “She is amazing at it. She’ll send me the little things and be like ‘who is this.’ She’s done that with me before and she’s really good at it.”
