John Legend, Chrissy Teigen Welcome Adorable New Puppy Named Pearl

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have welcomed a new addition to their family just weeks after the death of their French bulldog Pippa. The pair expanded their family with a basset hound puppy named Pearl. She is literally the cutest thing we have ever seen and the photos will make you melt.
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen Introduce Pearl to the World
Legend shared a photo sitting with Pearl in the grass. He grins from ear to ear as he holds Pearl in his lap. Just look at her ears! Pearl has a couple of other puppy friends in the house to get acquainted with. The family has a three-legged dog named Penny, an English bulldog named Paul, and a poodle named Petey.
Teigen also shared some adorable shots of Pearl on her Instagram Story. The pup takes a snooze in one photo while their son Miles, 3, gets curious about why dogs have nipples. Teigen laughs from behind the camera and explains that dogs are just like humans in some ways.
Teigen and Legend both posted just two weeks ago about losing their beloved dog, Pippa. She described her as “a sassy broad – loved her pearl necklace and never took shit from ANY new dog we brought in.” Legend echoed that she was “smart, fancy and didn’t take any shit.”
“Pearl has touched down into the legend/teigen/stephens household!” Teigen announced on her Instagram. “We love this little girl so much already but I will admit, she has definitely taken to John first!! Penny is obsessed with her so it’s been fun watching the adventures of penny and pearl unfold.”
Teigen grew up with basset hounds and is excited for Legend “to see this bouncy, no-bones, jello mold of skin grow into the stubborn logs of love.” She finished off the post saying she is “excited for this new little heart to add love to our home.” Teigen gave her fans what they want by adding a video of Pearl walking with her ears bouncing around. She described it as “ear magic.”
