Influencer Alexis Sharkey Was Found Naked On The Street, Strangled To Death

The body of Alexis Sharkey, a 26-year-old influencer from Texas, was found on November 28 on the side of the road. She vanished the day before after celebrating Thanksgiving with her friends. Now, a cause of death has finally been revealed after her body showed no signs of visible wounds.
Alexis Sharkey’s Cause Of Death Has Finally Been Revealed
Alexis’ family and friends said that they hadn’t heard from her the day her body was found. This was very unlike her because the influencer was always on her phone. “I instantly knew something was off,” her best friend told The Daily Beast. “She has never been known to disappear or not answer her phone. I don’t think we have ever gone more than six hours without texting.” Her autopsy report now reveals that she died of strangulation.

Her body was found only four minutes away from her home that she shared with her husband Tom Sharkey, 49. The couple had been married for less than a year before her death. Her friends allege that the couple’s relationship had been pretty rocky. While on a trip with her girlfriends, Alexis’s friends said that Alexis claimed to be physically abused by her husband. Tom “had been putting hands on her,” one friend alleged.
“Throughout the trip, he was sending really awful, nasty messages to her,” the friend said. “But one night when she and I were talking alone she said, ‘He strangles me and chokes me out and I blackout and wake up on the bathroom floor every single time.'” Other friends also added that Alexis spoke to them about alleged physical abuse and wanted to spend time with them as much as possible to avoid being at home. Alexis last posted a picture with Tom on Halloween.
Tom Spoke Out After His Wife’s Death
Alexis’s mother, Stacey Robinault, claims that Alexis and Tom had an argument right before her disappearance. He has since denied that claim. “We didn’t fight when she left,” he said. “I just told her she couldn’t drive under the influence. She left anyhow. This is where we’re at.”
“My wife was an amazing woman. She really was. There’s always other sides to everything. I was the one holding her, cuddling her, and building her back up” he told KTRK-TV previously. “I don’t need to set the record straight. I’ll let it play out the way it is. I know what my life was with my wife.” He has since made his Instagram private. Alexis’s Instagram is still public with 71,800 followers. The comments are flooded with suspicions as fans seek answers about her death. Tom also opened up about receiving death threats after the news of his wife’s death made global headlines.

So far no arrests have been made and the case is still under investigation.
