Howie Mandel Shares the Story Behind Video Walking in Heidi Klum’s Heels

Last month, Howie Mandel showed off his runway walk wearing a pair of Heidi Klum‘s heels. The video was posted on TikTok and set to the beat of “I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred. The AGT judge revealed the story behind the iconic video on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Howie Mandel Explains Viral Video Walking in Heidi Klum’s Supermodel Heels
Klum and Mandel have always been up to some behind-the-scenes antics on the set of AGT. In the video, Klum coaches Mandel to walk to the beat. She kneels down by the camera and instructs him to turn halfway down the makeshift runway. Mandel even strikes a pose at the end of the video like a real model.
“You know I just want to say that I’m making it look effortless but a lot of work goes into that,” Mandel admitted. “Heidi, my best friend Heidi, she doesn’t sit still. She’s got the energy of a 5-year-old and I was commenting on the fact that I can’t imagine what it’s like to walk in heels. She goes ‘try these on.’ I go ‘how can I?'”
Mandel had the entire room laughing when he said: “turns out that Heidi Klum has huge feet so you know what that means.” Kelly Clarkson doubled over with laughter and pointed out that Klum is very tall and it makes sense that she has big feet.
“She said ‘try these on and I’ll show you how to be a runway model’ and how can you say no to Heidi Klum?” he continued. “So I got to tell you it’s not one of my proudest moments but it is forever on videotape and you’re showing it. Thank God I’m married and I’m not in the dating scene any longer and if I was, this little clip would get me out of it.”
Clarkson commented that people would still swipe right on Mandel and that dating apps are full of unexpected things. She also laughed because she does not actually know which direction you are supposed to swipe on a dating app if you like someone. Her initial guess was correct though, swiping right is the way to go.
Mandel and Clarkson Previously Tried to Break a TikTok Record
Mandel joined Clarkson last year on The Kelly Clarkson Show. The duo chatted about how TikTok was on the rise after replacing Vine. Clarkson played a video of Mandel and Klum dancing from the AGT set. At the time, the video gained 25 million views. The video now has 56.6 million views.
Clarkson and Mandel planned to do the viral yes/no TikTok together and beat 25 million views. They filmed it live on air. The video reached 1 million views on TikTok but it was a hilarious effort at breaking Mandel’s record. Mandel’s high heels dancing video also does not come close to 25 million, with only 3.7 million views.
