Boxer Floyd Mayweather is reportedly engaged to his girlfriend Anna Monroe. She recently flashed what looks like an engagement ring on Instagram, after reportedly getting engaged over the weekend.
News of the couple’s relationship broke on New Year’s Day, although they’re believed to have been dating for months before that. The pair have apparently been on and off for a while, with photos together dating back to 2018.
Floyd Mayweather Engaged To Girlfriend
“Floyd was annoyed at first that news of their relationship broke because he wanted to keep it private,” a source told The Sun about the couple. “They had an argument about it but soon made up. And then he decided to pop the question on Saturday.”

Anna, 29, has apparently told family and friends about the engagement, and has also said she wants to try for a baby with Floyd, 43, this year. Meanwhile, she recently posted Instagram photos in which a huge diamond ring can be seen on her left hand.
Anna, who was born in the United States but grew up in England, is the lead dancer at Floyd’s Las Vegas club Girl Collection. She was apparently declined for a job at first, until Floyd spotted her in the hall and later hired her during a candlelit dinner.
Anna’s Family Is Reportedly Worried
The Sun reports that Anna’s family is concerned about her relationship with Floyd. “Her family and friends have had their concerns about the relationship but she’s an adult, it’s her decision and they want her to be happy,” the source shared.
Floyd Mayweather has been accused by several women of domestic violence. He was convicted of battery against ex-girlfriend Josie Harris in 2011, and served two months in jail. In a 2014 interview, Josie called herself a “battered woman.” She passed away last year of an accidental overdose.
“Everyone knows Floyd Mayweather beat his other girlfriend up,” a family friend told The Sun about Anna’s relationship with the boxer. “Her dad is worried sick but Floyd just reels them in with money.”
Floyd’s daughter, Iyanna, whom he had with Melissa Brim, also has a history of violence. She was arrested last year for stabbing the mother of boyfriend NBA YoungBoy’s baby. The 20-year-old is now expecting her first child with him.
