Taylor Swift Reveals Mom's Brain Tumor Taylor said she's limiting her concert appearances this year, partly due to "everything that\u2019s going on at home." She added, "We don\u2019t know what treatment we\u2019re going to choose. It just was the decision to make at the time, for right now, for what\u2019s going on." TAYLOR SWIFT STICKS IT TO SCOOTER BRAUN AT THE 2019 AMAS The singer called her mom her "guiding force," saying she talks to her before making all her decisions. Andrea's cancer apparently returned for a second time during filming of Miss Americana. \u201cWhile she was going through treatment, they found a brain tumor," Taylor explained. "And the symptoms of what a person goes through when they have a brain tumor is nothing like what we\u2019ve ever been through with her cancer before. So it\u2019s just been a really hard time for us as a family.\u201d https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B58xdWFDciX\/ How Taylor Has Supported Her Mom During Her Illness In 2015, Taylor told her fans that Andrea had cancer, and asked them to encourage their own parents to look after their health. "She wanted you to know why she may not be at as many shows this tour," Taylor wrote. "She's got an important battle to fight."
