Drag Race fans, get ready for a new adventure. The Dutch spinoff’s sophomore season is set to air on August 6 with a fabulous new lineup. Drag Race Holland is the fifth international version of the franchise to debut. The cast was revealed today in anticipation of the upcoming season. You can catch season two on the WOW Presents Plus streaming service soon.

From the looks of it, there are a lot of top quality queens on the scene this season. Vanessa Van Cartier is already anticipated to be a standout queen on season two. She is a trans trailblazer who triumphed for representation at the Miss Continental pageant in Chicago.

Love Maisi is also turning heads already. The Haitian queen is a dominating force who even claims to have won an award for “best butt in the world.” Ivy-Elyse is also breaking barriers, as one of the few Asian queens in the Dutch drag community.

The remainder of the cast will feature Juicy Kutoure, Keta Minaj, My Little Puny, Reggy B, Tabitha, The Countess, and Vivaldi. Fred van Leer will also return as a host and judge for the Dutch series.

Will the Sophomore Season Live Up to the First?

The format of this series is similarly aligned with that of the American version. However, instead of Ru Paul, Fred van Leer takes on several roles within the show. Acting as a host and judge, he introduces guests, announces weekly challenges, and reveals the queens up for elimination. His role as a judge requires him to critique the contestants on their overall performance of the challenge.

In the mini challenges, the queens are asked to take on varying tasks with time limitations. There are some recurring challenges that you may recall seeing on the American version. There are also some challenges that have become staples across international versions of Drag Race, such as the “Snatch Game.”

Envy Peru took the crown on the inaugural season of Drag Race Holland. Originally born in Peru, she moved to the Netherlands at the age of four. She is also the first Peruvian to participate in Drag Race. After the reveal of Drag Race Holland season one, she became the most followed queen on social media. She is also the first Dutch queen to get verified on Instagram. Additionally, Envy Peru is the first and only queen to win four solo main challenges during a regular season.

It seems like the girls on season two have some big shoes to fill. Who are you most excited to see this season on Drag Race Holland? Tune in this August to get another dose of drag.
