Ariana Grande Shines in ‘Special’ Entrance For ‘The Voice’ Season 21 Promo

Who cares if a bunch of billionaires went to outer space? Ariana Grande is quite literally sitting on the Moon! The Voice just teased the very first look at Season 21 with Grande as a coach. In this fun new promo, the coaches gather around the campfire and the pop superstar herself descends down from the night sky.

A full promo for Season 21 will be released tomorrow, July 27. John Legend, Blake Shelton, and Kelly Clarkson are all returning for what will surely be the biggest season ever. The official premiere date for Season 21 is on September 20, despite some of the confusion on Twitter. Many asked if new episodes are airing tomorrow, but it’s just the official trailer release date.
The first look this year went for an outdoor theme with a little hint of astrology. When Shelton points out “that amazing star over there,” Legend asks if he means “Alpha Centauri.” Of course, Shelton is pointing to Grande, one of the biggest musicians in the world. Her influence is so powerful, she literally lights up the sky.
Grande looks gorgeous in a sparkly silver mini romper and black tights. This will be her first bout on The Voice coaching panel. The 28-year-old will be taking Nick Jonas’ seat on the rotating panel of coaches this season. She is reportedly giving out goodies from a treat box for artists that choose to be on her team.
Grande and Clarkson Post Behind-the-Scenes Footage
Clarkson also posted a behind-the-scenes look for the first official promo of Season 21. Shelton strums his guitar as Grande sings in what will probably be the most iconic performance ever. Shelton and Legend went more casual with their attire as Clarkson and Grande look glamorous as usual.
“Today’s promo is about how we regularly just chill around a campfire and sing and the whole thing is kid of cute and it’s outdoorsy,” Clarkson says in the video. “This is us welcoming Ariana.”
Grande already broke the internet when she announced that she would be coaching The Voice for Season 21. It looks like the show went all out for just the promo alone. We can’t imagine how incredible the season is going to be. Viewership for last season rose to 7.8 million viewers for the premiere. Grande’s debut could potentially see double that with her 245 million Instagram followers patiently waiting for her to sit in the big red chairs.
As if fans did not already have enough to get excited about, Grande also posted a behind-the-scenes look at the promo shoot. Over on Instagram, she posted a closer look at her gorgeous outfit, and the black strappy platform heels that are sky high. She manages to make camping look very glam.
“I was just entering on this really beautiful crescent moon, which I love, I have a moon tattoo,” Grande says. “My floating moon entrance felt very special.”
Grande also posted a selfie with Shelton, who will most likely be her rival this season. Shelton just took home his eighth win on the show with Cam Anthony last season. Grande has a huge fanbase behind her and whichever artists that will choose to be on her team. The King of The Voice might have just met his competitive match.
