World of Dance first premiered on NBC on May 30, 2017 led by extraordinary dance superstars Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough, and NE-YO as the judges. Jenna Dewan hosted the first two seasons followed by Scott Evans hosting the third and the fourth season. The World of Dance Winners of each season took home the title of the “Best Dancer in the world!” and the grand prize of $1 million!

All Time Winners of ‘World of Dance.’ Season 1, The Les Twins

The Les Twins, Season 1

The Les Twins took home $1 million in prize money and became the first-ever winners of World of Dance. The French hip-hop-dancing twins Laurent Nicolas and Larry Nicolas Bourgeois wowed the audiences and judges. They performed unbeatable in-sync isolation movements and quality dance performances week after week. But the win did not come easy to them. Just before the Divisional Finals, Laurent suffered an injury to his right leg, which immediately put Les Twins’ at a disadvantage. That didn’t stop them.

Instead of dropping out, Laurent danced in the wheelchair and went on to make it to the finals performing on Kygo’s “Stole the Show” and “Scream” by Michael and Janet Jackson to become the winners.

Not to mention the Les Twins have toured and performed for celebrities like Beyonce and Jay Z on and they are only adding more to their list!


The Lab, Season 2

The Labs came back stronger than ever in the second season after getting eliminated in season one. Their jaw-dropping flips and incredible stunts made them the winners of Season 2!

The Hip Hop crew performed a neon-heavy Missy Elliot dance and a groovy lyrical hip-hop number to John Mayer’s “Waiting On The World to Change” groovin the audience with their charismatic moves.

The Lab continues to kill it on the dance floor and they performed in Times Square on New Year’s Eve.


The Kings, Season 3

Earning the perfect score, The Kings, a hip-hop group from India, won Season 3 of World of Dance with their impressive moves! The 14-member Bollywood Hip-Hop squad consistently racked up high scores during its run on the show with high-flying tricks and amazing stunts.

After 12 weeks of incredible dance offs and synchronized flips, the Kings took home the $1 million top prize.

They are currently working on some international projects. Including their shows, workshop tour and brand collaborations in India and other parts of the world. They are also working on an upcoming film about their crew.

MDC, Season 4

All Time Winners of ‘World of Dance.’ Season 4

The winner of Season 4 of World of Dance was MDC 3, the only junior division competitors left in the competition. The trio first caught the judges’ interest with their stunningly emotional performance for their audition and in the duels. 

The trio was known for their storytelling ability, and they used that in their finale performance. They performed to “I Surrender” by Celine Dion and mesmerized the world with their storytelling abilities with their push and pull movements.

The group has been dancing together for years, having danced their first trio in 2014 and plans to become professional dancers for celebrities like Beyonce!

World of Dance is cancelled for Season 5 by NBC

While these teams will remain the winner World of Dance will not live to dance another day, with the Jennifer Lopez-produced competition series not returning for Season 5 on NBC after ending its fourth season in August 2020 due to low ratings and falling numbers of viewers.
