‘AGT’ Star Preacher Lawson Joins ‘Howie Mandel’s All-Star Standup Spectacular’

Howie Mandel is bringing the biggest comedy festival in the world to Los Angeles. The Just For Laughs comedy festival normally kicks off in Montreal each summer. This year, the COVID-19 pandemic has forced the festival to make some adjustments. Mandel will be performing with a huge roster of special guests including America’s Got Talent star Preacher Lawson.
Howie Mandel to Bring Just For Laughs Festival to California with ‘AGT’ Comedian Preacher Lawson
Howie Mandel’s All-Star Standup Spectacular will be taped at The Bellasco Theatre in Los Angeles. The funnyman is already in town for the AGT live shows airing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The Just For Laughs show will be filmed on August 21 at 7 p.m. and air on The CW at a later date. This is your chance to see the hilarious AGT judge live in person and for free!
Tickets for the special event are already available for those ages 21 and up. Since this performance is being recorded, all attendees must show up on time to gain entrance to the theater. Seating will be on a first come basis and the flyer suggests for you to arrive early to go through security. Preacher is currently on a successful comedy tour of his own since appearing on Season 12 of AGT and returning for America’s Got Talent: The Champions. Joining Mandel and Preacher on the lineup is Natasha Leggero, Dulcé Sloan, Debra DiGiovanni, and Danny Jolles. Actor Patton Oswalt is named as the special guest on the flyer along with actress Sherri Shepherd.
Mandel is Known to Work with Comedians From the NBC Show
This isn’t the first time Mandel will be performing with an AGT alum. Current Season 16 contestant Gina Brillon performed at the Howie Mandel All–Star Comedy Gala in 2017. Since her audition, Mandel has also bumped into Gina at some of the biggest comedy clubs in Los Angeles. He has mentioned it during the live shows about how often he sees her out performing new material.
Just For Laughs also announced that some huge comedians will be back on tour in 2022 including Sebastian Maniscalco and Tom Segura. Another Just For Laughs experience is scheduled for November 3 in Cancún. Dancing with the Stars alum Nikki Glaser will be performing at the event.
